|Robert Ghrist serves as the Andrea Mitchell Penn integrating knowledge professor in the Departments of Mathematics and Electrical Systems/Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toledo and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in applied mathematics from Cornell University. He specializes in applied topology.
Ghrist began his involvement at the IMA in 2004 when he attended his first workshop at the institute.
