Talk will be in Vincent Hall 570 at 10:10 am.
The fields of medicine and biology offer no shortage of fascinating
applications for advanced mathematics. This talk will give a
brief background of one specific clinical domain, introduce
the major relevant problems, and describe the solutions implemented
by our company. The problems concern how best to locate catheters
relative to each other inside the heart, determine the internal
geometry of the heart, and reconstruct its electrical activity.
We will conclude with some open areas for further research.
