Carlos Tolmasky specializes in mathematical finance, probability, partial differential equations, and inverse problems. He works as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Minnesota, and he previously served as a derivatives trader with Cargill Petroleum. Currently, he also is a member of the IMA’s Community Relations Committee. Tolmasky first visited the IMA in 1995 for a workshop on inverse problems in wave propagation. Since then, he has been an active member of the IMA community.
