David Hummels (Purdue University)
David Hummels is the Dean and a Professor of Economics in the Krannert School of Management, and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. He joined Krannert in 2000 after serving on the faculty at the University of Chicago Booth School. His PhD in Economics is from the University of Michigan. Hummels is an award winning teacher of international economics in undergraduate, MBA, and PhD classrooms. He is a frequent consultant to the U.S. government and international agencies. His research focuses on international trade facilitation, the economics of aviation, offshoring and
the labor markets of the future.
